Building Learning Power
Helping young people become better learners
TLO’s Building Learning Power program develops the skills of teachers to implement ‘learning to learn’ philosophy and practice.
Developed by Professor Guy Claxton and TLO for UK schools, it is equally relevant for all Australian and New Zealand schools aiming to improve their performance.
The program comprises a series of four full-day workshops, typically delivered over four months, although one-day introductory programs are also available for different audiences.
The program and supporting TLO publications present participants with a range of audit tools and practical strategies to transform classrooms. The program’s emphasis is to train teachers to become BLP advocates and coaches in their schools.
